After Roses de Vents and Max Cilla, Danyèl Waro performed at the Villes des Musiques du Monde Festival, held in Le Point Fort on Friday, November 11th, 2022.
He came on stage marching through the crowd, followed by his band, playing a traditional Tamoul celebration rhythm.
Then, Danyèl Waro performed songs such as his Brassens’s cover “La Mauvaise Réputation,” and “Monmon,” featured on the 2017 album of the same name. He also performed more recent tracks like the eponymous song featured on his last album “Tinn’ Tout,” issued in 2020.
To wrap up the show, Max Cilla joined Danyèl Waro and his band to play the flute along to the classic “Adékalom” off his sophomore album “Batarsité”.The crowd, who was enjoying itself to the fullest, sang all heats out and requested an encore.
Unfortunately, the band had to leave quickly as a duo of DJs was ready to perform. Nevertheless, it was a very great show. It is never a disappointment to see Danyèl Waro and his band live.
Band: Loran Dalo (Congas), Michael Talpot (Roulèr), Bino Waro (Pikèr), and Gilles Lauret (Triangle, Manjira & U-bass)
